⚪️The UNESCO Chair on STEM Education – TRRISE (Transfer of Research Results into STEM Education) is participating as a partner in the ST-ART – Soroptimist Balkan Leadership Academy 2026, an international programme taking place in Măgurele, Romania, from 6 to 12 September 2026.
⚪️TRRISE’s involvement is directly aligned with the UNESCO Chair’s mandate to facilitate the transfer of research results, scientific knowledge and technological advances into education and society. In this context, ST-ART provides a relevant framework for approaching STEM education from an interdisciplinary perspective, bringing together science, technology, arts, leadership development and international exchange of experience.
⚪️Through its participation in the Academy, TRRISE contributes to an approach to STEM education that extends beyond the transmission of disciplinary knowledge, focusing on the development of competencies relevant to an academic and professional environment undergoing continuous transformation. The programme creates opportunities for dialogue between different fields of knowledge and for exploring new connections between scientific research, education, creativity and leadership.
⚪️The implementation of ST-ART in Măgurele, under the patronage of the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO, further contributes to strengthening cooperation between research institutions, educational actors and international networks.
⚪️The ST-ART – Soroptimist Balkan Leadership Academy 2026 brings together participants from different backgrounds and countries around a common objective: developing leadership competencies through an interdisciplinary educational experience at the intersection of STEM and the arts.
